A few notes on eligibility for the Cash for Clunkers program:

Your vehicle must be less than 25 years old when you trade it in.
This only applies to new vehicle purchases. You can get a credit when you buy a new vehicle and also if you lease for more than five years.
In general, your trade-in must get 18 MPG or less. Click here to find fuel mileage information.
Your trade must have been registered and insured for the past year.
Your vehicle must be in drivable condition.
